Exhibitors
Desucon and the Vendor’s hall
Desucon is a Finnish anime and manga event with a focus on lectures that has been held at Sibeliustalo in Lahti since 2009. Desucon 2025 will take place on January, 24. - 26.1.2025
Desucon's vendor’s hall is located in the Finlandia Club Hall of Sibeliustalo, on the second floor of the building. The goal of the vendor’s hall is to gather companies that sell products of particular interest to Desucon attendees. Many attendees gladly spend a significant amount of time hunting for rare treasures among the offerings in the sales hall.
The sales hall is open to attendees on Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM and on Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM. Outside of these hours, the doors to the space will be locked or guarded to prevent unauthorized access.
Exhibitors are welcome to come and set up their tables and put their merchandise on display on Friday. Transporting goods to the sales hall is easy, as there is a designated inner courtyard parking area for exhibitors located right next to the goods elevator leading to the sales hall.
Sales Spaces
Desucon's sales spaces mainly consist of tables measuring 125cm x 70cm, with exhibitors having from one to six of these tables.
In addition to the tables, exhibitors may have clothing racks or their own shelves/structures. We charge exhibitors for clothing racks, their own tables, shelves, and other structures if they take up space from possible tables. The fees for racks, personal tables, shelves, and other structures are determined based on the space they occupy, as per the pricing list.
We do not charge for structures that fit on or behind the sales tables, but please be prepared that there might not be much space behind the tables for very deep structures or for storing merchandise. It's advised to mention the need for space behind the table in your application so that we can assess whether there is enough room for it.
Each table space comes with two chairs and an electrical outlet by default, and additional chairs can be provided at no extra cost in reasonable quantities. There are two wireless networks available in the sales hall, and a wired connection can be arranged for an additional fee.
Artisan Tables
In addition to regular tables, we offer artisan tables in the vendor’s hall for small operators who sell their own crafts and art. Artisan tables are intended for entrepreneurs who have transitioned or are in the middle of transitioning from a hobbyist to an entrepreneur.
Only one artisan table can be obtained, and it is not possible to purchase additional space for racks or displays. All separate structures must fit on or behind the table. Artisans are also welcome to apply for regular sales spaces if interested in a larger sales area.
Artisans can share an artisan table with a friend, but in this case, an assistant ticket must be purchased to gain entry to the event (more information below). Please mention this in your application and introduce both exhibitors.
Pricing
- First three tables: 200€ each
- Fourth, fifth, and sixth table: 250€ each
- Artisan table: 120€
Selecting the exhibitors
Unfortunately, the space in the vendor’s hall is limited, so we might not be able to accommodate every interested exhibitor.
If the number of those interested exceeds the available space, selections are not made based on the order of applications but rather by ensuring the sales hall offers a diverse range of products that would appeal to our attendees. We evaluate applicants' product offerings and commercial potential from the attendees' perspective. In cases where multiple applicants are equally strong candidates but there are not enough table spaces, we resort to a lottery.
If a selected exhibitor has to cancel their participation before the event, we will attempt to find a replacement using the same method mentioned above.
Exhibitor and Artisan Wristbands and Tickets
The number of exhibitor wristbands included in sales spaces can be negotiated based on the exhibitor's needs. However, artisan tables include only one exhibitor wristband by default, but artisans can purchase a regular-priced ticket for an assistant to accompany them at the sales table. exhibitor wristbands also serve as regular entry tickets to the event, allowing all exhibitors to explore the event's programming if they wish.
Advertising Opportunities
Desucon offers the opportunity to purchase visibility in our program booklet or on our Info TV.
The event program booklet is distributed to all attendees, providing tangible exposure to every visitor. Desucon's Info TV runs continuously throughout the event on screens located throughout Sibeliustalo, providing up-to-date information to attendees.

Restrictions and Notes on Merchandise
Both Finnish legislation and our event rules prohibit the bringing of firearms, blades, or replicas thereof to our event. If you intend to sell permitted weapon replicas, each buyer must be instructed to take them to the door for inspection by our security personnel, just as attendees' own similar replicas and props are expected to be checked and marked as safe.
All food items for sale must have product descriptions in Finnish, and items past their best-before dates cannot be sold at the event. Selling alcohol-containing products in the sales hall is also prohibited.
Selling counterfeit items at Desucon is strictly prohibited.
Non-compliance with these guidelines may result in warnings, and repeated or egregious violations may lead to the removal of the exhibitor from the event.
