The anime and manga convention Desucon Frostbite will be held from 26th to 28th January 2018 at the Sibelius Hall in Lahti, Finland. Expected attendance is 2 700. 

Desucon Frostbite as an established winter convention will be organized for fifth time. Thirdyear in a row the event will be open only for attendees of 18 years or older. Over 2500 weekend tickets were sold for the event in 2017 and we expect the visitor count to stay the same this year. The winter event focuses on topical and current anime and manga series and phenomena surrounding them in the form of factual lectures and panel discussions. These are supported by programmes such as workshops and competitions.

Desucon was first organized in 2009, and has since grown into the most resourceful and well-balanced anime and manga event in Finland. The event's lineup includes lectures, panels, workshops and contests, as well as naturally a cosplay contest, rhythm games, anime viewings and anime music videos. As our speciality, we will also be bringing a piece of genuine Akihabara spirit to the convention in the form of a real maid café as well as famous Guests of Honor from different fields of Japanese anime and manga. This year's Guest of Honor in Desucon Frostbite will be animation director Tensai Okamura (Darker than Black, Wolf’s Rain and Ao no Exorcist).
