About the event
Desucon 2020 has been cancelled.
Please see here for more information.
Entrance Fee and Opening Hours
Desucon Frostbite has an entrance fee. Tickets can be purchased online at DesuShop in advance, and they are generally sold out well before the event. Should there be excess tickets, they will be sold at the entrance. Desucon Frostbite is open 24 hours a day. Doors open on Friday at 5PM and close on Sunday at 5PM. During the night, from 1 AM to 9 AM, Sibelius Hall can only be entered through the main entrance. Cloakroom and information desk are open 24/7, both completely free of charge.
Sleeping in Sibelius Hall is not allowed for safety reasons, but you can check our Accomodation section for information about possible accomodation locations in Lahti.
Policies
Desucon Frostbite has an age limit of 18 years, and no underaged visitors are allowed in the event. Visitors must be prepared to prove their age on entry when asked. As the event has an age limit, all lectures and workshops are open for all visitors (space limitations and sign-ins for some workshops may still apply). Possibly offensive material will still be marked beforehand when possible.
Props that are part of cosplay can be brought inside the venue, with the exception of dangerous items or detailed replicas of such. We encourage common sense with them—think carefully whether you really want to carry that huge sword around all the time. As stated above, Desucon has a free cloakroom where you can leave your props. Please keep in mind that it is not desirable to take large props to Exhibition Hall. It will be very crowded there even without props taking up the limited space, as we hope you understand.
We have set up a point where you can have a photographer take a picture of your cosplay with professional equipment. Pictures will be uploaded online, and archived in the Conikuvat gallery (https://desucon.fi/galleria/). If you don’t want your pictures uploaded, tell it to the photographer, and give them your email address to send your pictures to.
We kindly ask that all our visitors take a look at our Rules & Regulations before coming to Desucon.
